NOTE: THIS IS A POSITION LASTING 30 DAYS OR LESS.
The Visitor Center Tour Guide/Bartender welcomes and entertains visitors ensuring they receive courteous, friendly and professional assistance at all times. Tour Guides need to be flexible, rotating to different areas as the business requires and allows. Tour Guides work in an ever-changing environment.  The Tour Guide/Bartender will work closely with the Visitor Center Manager.  The Visitor Center is open for business 365 days per year.  Weekend work and evening hours are required.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Ensure all cash and credit transactions are carried out accurately
  • Sell merchandise, stock replenishment and control merchandising product
  • Ensure Standards of Performance are followed at all times
  • Take initiative to excel in provision of customer service and understand that visitor satisfaction is the primary goal
  • Create a sense of fun; entertain the visitor for a really engaging experience
  • Embrace the Culture; ensuring the brand is portrayed as a world-class visitor center
  • Act as a Brand Ambassador
  • Adhere to and promote the “Drink Responsibly” culture
  • Must be highly energetic, dynamic, vigilant and attentive
  • Ensure the visitors are greeted in a courteous, friendly and professional manner
  • Must ensure quality standards in serving
  • Must provide guided tours for groups as required
  • Must check identification of customers to verify age requirements for consumption or purchase of alcohol
  • Maintain work areas and public areas clean and free of debris
  • Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters, to prepare cocktails and other drinks
  • Order or requisition liquors and supplies when necessary
  • Plan, organize, and control the operations of the lounge and bar
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Must have outstanding customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in public speaking, entertaining and/or performing is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
  • Must possess the ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working face-to-face with the public in a customer service or retail role
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Tourism, Marketing, Sales, Drama, Theater or a related discipline preferred
  • Bartending experience preferred
  • Experience in Amusement, Entertainment, Retail or Guide preferred
  • Must possess a Food Handler’s Card

 

Applicants selected will be subject to a background check.  The successful applicant will be required to pass a pre-employment, drug and alcohol testing.
